Call to Editors Canada AGM

Dear Editors BC members,

The Editors Canada AGM will be held via Zoom on Thursday, June 26, at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT. To review the strategic plan and call to AGM, please log in via the members portal on the Editors Canada website.

All members are encouraged to review the strategic plan, attend the AGM, and have their voices heard. If you can’t make the meeting, please consider assigning a proxy to vote on the motions that have been submitted.

To designate a proxy, please download the form from the website (under Proxy information), fill it in, and send it to your proxy holder before June 20. You may also appoint the national secretary as your proxy holder by emailing your signed proxy to secretary@editors.ca by June 20.

The deadline for members to register for the AGM or submit a proxy is this Friday, June 20, 2025.

Cost: Free for Editors Canada members, $10 for non-members, $5 for student non-members

This month, Editors BC is proud to host presenter Nara Monteiro, who will discuss the role of freelance editors in the publishing industry as it continues to “gigify.” In addition to this presentation, members are warmly invited to our annual general meeting, where we will hold elections to fill some co-chair vacancies on the 2025–2026 Editors BC branch executive. June 17, 2020: Season-End Editors BC Executive Elections

What: Editors BC monthly meeting
When: Wednesday, June 17, 2020, 7:00–8:00 pm
Where: Online through Zoom
Cost: Free for Editors BC members and students.

Join us in winding down the Editors BC 2019–2020 season with an online meeting to recognize our volunteers and to elect the 2020–2021 executive team. This is usually our wine and cheese event, so bring a beverage of your choice and get to know our incoming exec!
