Editors BC is looking for four or more volunteer editors who enjoy working with children for an upcoming event:

VPL Writing & Book Camp Editing Session

Wednesday, August 13, 10:15 am–12:15 pm

350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC

Each year, Vancouver Public Library (VPL) holds a writing and book camp for young authors (ages 11–17). The campers each work on a short piece to be included in the camp anthology.

Volunteer editors are needed to provide feedback and answer campers’ questions in quick, one-on-one sessions (5–15 minutes each). While genre may vary, campers typically submit fiction or poetry pieces. Each piece will be no longer than one letter-sized page.

This event is held in person at the VPL Central Branch. It’s easily one of the most fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities we have.
